MARISSA JARET WINOKUR: Ready For Baby No. Two!
CGL loves a good baby story!
So we were delighted to hear that Marissa Jaret Winokur, who just celebrated her son Zev's first b-day this summer, is already planning for his second birthday gift: a little sibling!
"I can not imagine not having another child," she exclaimed to us at the launch of Luvs diapers "Take A Stand" campaign in New York City, which encourages fellow moms to take a stand on causes they believe in (including too pricey diapers!).
We weren't surprised to learn that Marissa comes from a big family herself. "I'm one of four, and my husband has a twin sister and brother," she explained.
"It's more about wanting Zev to have that experience."
And while there's no strict timetable on when Marissa and her husband, TV writer Judah Miller, will get to work (hee, hee!) on bringing Zev that baby bro or sis, Marissa told us, "I would love to have another before Zev turns three."
Having a child truly is a labor of love for Marissa. The actress, who won a Tony for her work in Hairspray on Broadway, battled cervical cancer back in 2000.
She had surgery and beat the disease, and was able to welcome Zev into her life via surrogate in 2008.
She's considering it again for baby no. two.
"We were lucky. I was able to have one my eggs work, and Judah's sister just adopted a baby, so there's so many different ways to bring a child into the world." she shared.
When the time does come, will Marissa be leaving the nursery blue, or repainting it pink?
I course I want a girl," she said, though hubby Judah is trying to convince her otherwise.
"He's says I'd be better off with two boys because he knows I would dress my little girl up in costumes and big bows, all girly girly," Marissa chuckled.
Coming from a woman who rocks Christian Louboutin stilettos, even in mommy mode, it's a sight we'd love to see!
