CGL knows how important it is to be a great dinner party guest. We always bring a bottle of bubbly. And Steve Carell knows it too.

On the NYC red carpet premiere of his new film, “Dinner for Schmucks,” we asked Steve his tips on being a great guest, which he answered politely (just one character trait that’s appreciated by any dinner host).

Steve then revealed who he’d invite to a dinner party. Check it all out here.

We also spoke to “Schmucks” star Larry Wilmore who told us the key to being a dinner party guest that will definitely keep you off the next party list. After all, it’s important to know what not to do as well!

Dinner For Schmucks” opens nationwide Friday, July 30.

The tie is an appropriate symbol of the work Career Gear is doing – part of the non-profit’s work involves outfitting unemployed men who are are eager to work again with work clothes they’ll need for job interviews.

“The funds raised from the auction will go directly towards giving men a second chance to start their lives,” said Career Gear founder Gary Field.
