Why does Jesse Metcalfe so look incredible in his new Hallmark Channel film, “Farfield Road” , which premieres on the network next week? Because the boy hits the gym, hard!

“I work out nearly every day,” he tells CGL. “My minimum is five times a week.”

So what’s on that week-long workout agenda?

“I box and run. I do a considerable amount of cardio.” Jesse reveals.

Jesse also lifts weights to keep his muscle tone in check, then smooths everything out with a bit of yoga.

“I do it all,” he jokes.

And we’re so glad you do!

Melanie Brown, a.k.a. Mel B, has squashed the rumors of an imminent break-up with film producer Stephen Belafonte, on her Twitter account. Now here’s another reason for her hubby of three years to make sure their marriage stays on track. The former Spice Girl knows how to work her curves.

“I like something that has a bit of a stretch so you can move in it and it’s comfortable and it fits your body,” she tells CGL.

Mel B. loves the designs of Denmark-based designer Charlotte Sparre. “Her silk scarves and dresses are beautiful,” Mel declares, pointing out the variety of ways Charlotte’s colorful silk scarves can be worn.

Mel’s has a personal mission to make Charlotte Sparre a household name in the U.S. “I’m trying to get her line over here,” she tells CGL exclusively.

Patricia Arquette and Maria Bello are serious about the plight in Haiti.

This past weekend, Maria, who did her part right here in the Big Apple last month, was on the west coast with her friend and fellow actress to co-host another “Don’t Forget” Haiti event at the Judith Leiber jewelry store in Beverly Hills. The stars were out in full force for the $95 pendant that benefits Viral Voices, an organization dedicated to bringing change to the region.

It was all about Emmy madness this past weekend!

CGL wanted to get gussied up for TV’s biggest night, so we sent a few lucky gals to stop by the HBO Luxury Lounge at the The Four Seasons in Beverly Hills, Calif. to find out what the stars picked up!

While getting pampered at the L’Oréal Paris Beauty Suite, they also gathered hints on hot hair trends for the fall. Here are their finds!

“We started our day with an early morning Chambord cocktail, just like sexy Frenchman Gilles Marini, who said, ‘Oh lala! This is my breakfast!’

We then got our tresses coifed. According to L’Oréal experts, the look of the season is long bangs with polished messy beach hair. Warmer hair tints will also be in this fall.

We slipped into a pair of DearFoam slippers just like Alan Cummings, who declared he’d wear his on the red carpet for the big night. For the special man in your life, organized scruff is the look for the fall. Ooh, stubbly!

It was time for another Chambord cocktail, to which we heard The View’s Sherri Saum coo over their new flavored vodka, ‘Yum! I can put this on my Cheerios!’ Sorry Sherri, we’re sticking with milk.

After imbibing on awards night, all we wanted to do was shield our tired eyes. Thank goodness Solstice had provided us with a pair of shades from their new green line. FYI, cat shapes are back, and aviators are still going strong.

Great Legs:: “I’ll deal with pain for a fabulous pair,” Ariana confesses to CGL. “For longer-looking legs I go for a nude or as close to flesh tone color shoe with no ankle strap. You shouldn’t have anything breaking at the ankle. I really like Christian Louboutin’s “Banana” shoe in Nude. it’s super high which adds great height, but they also have a good sized platform, which makes walking and standing for long periods of time a lot easier. Also try Guess by Marciano. I love their stuff and their shoes range between $90- $120 so they’re well-priced!”

Hot Hair: “I usually wear it down straight or in a playful pony tail. It’s nice, easy, simple, and playful,” Ariana declares. “To polish off my straight hair I always use Ojon Leave In Glossing Crème , and I’m good to go.”

The Perfect Day Face: “For every day I am a very natural girl. I always start with a fresh, clean and moisturized face. When I’m going to school or out with friends for lunch I put on a little bit of tinted moisturizer, like Smashbox tinted moisturizer, and dust a little bit of bronzer and blush on my cheeks. As for lip color during the day, I like to wear a peachy pink color gloss, like Smashbox’s O Gloss. I top it off with one or two coats of my favorite mascara, Hypnose by Lancome. To take my look from day to night, it’s a heavy smoky eye with a peachy cheek and a nude lip. I love NARS blush in Orgasm for cheeks and line my lips with MAC Subculture or Stripdown and with NARS Turkish Delight gloss. It gives the perfect nude/pink color. My make up icons are the Kardashian girls! I love them. Their style is sexy and classy, and I believe that’s the best way to be!”

Tennis anyone? The US Open is in action today!

Tennis champs Serena and Venus Williams kicked off the action at the USTA and Heineken’s US Open Player Party inside the Empire Hotel in New York City Friday night.

In color-coordinated outfits in white and black, the Williams sisters made a splash at the night’s festivities. “There were surrounded by friends, and they looked happy,” a spy at the festivities spills to CGL.

That’s a good thing. A bum foot from a recent fault may keep Serena from playing in this year’s tournament, but she kept up her spirits, telling her girlfriends their butts looked “damn fine” that evening. That’s what a tennis body gets yah!

The 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards went down last night, and the stars truly did shine. CGL picks three of its fave outfits from the red carpet that deserved their own awards!

Glee’s Lea Michele left the plaid skirts and sweater sets at home to slip into a strapless navy blue Oscar de la Renta gown with a layered ruffle bottom. Nobody better even think about throwing a slushy on that.

Eddie Falco, who was shocked over her Best Actress, Comedy win for Nurse Jackie, shouldn’t be too surprised she’s on our best-dressed list. The star kept it simple and elegant in a one-shoulder draped gown in evening black, and added a streak of red on the bottom of her Christian Louboutin satin sandals.

Sofia Vergara, who stars on the Best Comedy of the year, Modern Family, shimmered like sunlight in a lemony Carolina Herrera dress adorned with sequins. Sofia joked that the design held everything in the right place. She’s planning to donate the gown to Clothes Off Our Back, a celebrity online charity that raises funds for children’s charities.

Jennifer Esposito looks radiant in her new Hallmark film “The Wish List. She plays Sarah Fisher, a woman who must choose between the hunky surgeon who perfectly fits her dream husband criteria, and the imperfect barista who wins over her heart. Pretty amazing since just two years ago, the star was battling a little known disease that was ravaging her body, mind and spirit.

Jennifer recalls the debilitating symptoms she suffered while shooting the TV series Samantha Who? “I had such a bad sinus infection, my hair was breaking off, a tooth chipped out of my mouth. I was exhausted and in so much pain. My knees would hurt and my skin was yellow, and I thought to myself, ‘I’m done,’” she admits exclusively to CGL.

After getting misdiagnosed with the mumps, Jennifer’s ear, eye and throat doctor recommended an internist. “I sat with her for probably an hour, and she took viles of blood,” Jennifer recalls. “She called me a week later and said this was one of the worst cases of celiac she had ever seen.” Jennifer finally learned she had Celiac disease, a digestive disorder where the body cannot break down gluten, which can lead to damage in the small intestine and malnutrition. The revelation changed her life.

“It’s become a real passion for me,” she shares. “I suffered my whole life being ill and finally got a proper diagnosis. It’s such a horrible disease that needs attention, and I really have a different focus now making people understand this disease. I’m creating a food line and writing a book about my experiences.”

Now Jennifer is healthier than ever. She loved working with her three leading men on The Wish List, especially when co-stars David Sutcliffe and Mark Deklin show their appreciation for Sarah on the disco dance floor.

“All my reactions are completely real,” Jennifer says. “We had a choreographer, and those two guys took it very seriously and went at it. It was really awesome.”

As for the third? Jennifer wanted to take him home after the shoot!

“I begged his trainer to let me take him home,” Jennifer exclaims over her four-legged co-star Shakespeare. “I’m a dog person, they are just so open and loving.”

Jennifer is back in the kitchen as well, perfecting her gluten-free treats that don’t compromise on taste. “I wasn’t one of those girls who ordered salad; I love food, and I love to cook. So when I was told I couldn’t have many of the things I loved, I was seriously depressed.” Experimenting with ingredients like brown rice and sour gum flour, she’s created her own line of delicious delectables. “I make my own bagels. I’ve done birthday parties for kids with celiac with red velvet and chocolate cupcakes,” she shares. “The other night I was craving something, so I whipped up a batch of banana pecan chocolate chip muffins.”

Jennifer’s gearing up to launch her own gluten-free line, Butter and Sugar Back to Basics. “As a little girl I used to bake all the time with my sister, and that smell of the butter and sugar and all that baking brings back such great memories.”

Her wish is to make her brand cost-friendly for all. “I would like my line to be Wal-mart, and across the world,” Jennifer says. “I really want everyone to be able to eat it.”

Guess what? She’s making a list to get it done.

Busy mom Bethenny Frankel loves to load up on all the things she needs for three-month-old baby Bryn and hubby Jason Hoppy without ever leaving home. And what’s the one beauty item she likes to stock up on most?

“Any kind of baby wipes,” The Real Housewives of New York City star declared yesterday at a tasty breakfast sponsored by Drugstore.com inside the newly renovated R Lounge at the Renaissance New York Times Square Hotel in New York City. Of course, CGL was there.

“They’re great for under my eyes and the baby’s butt, and for wiping counters,” Bethenny shared with us before joking, “I’m going to wipe each of you before you leave.”

While that item definitely takes up much space in Bethenny’s virtual shopping cart, she always makes sure there’s a little extra room for a household regular, Metamucil!

“This and prune juice are my life,” Bethenny exclaimed holding up the familiar colorful canister.

“We call it orange in the house. It was one of the must bring items to the hospital when pregnant, though I didn’t know you weren’t allowed to eat or drink anything. I was happier about going to the bathroom than I was about having the baby. “

We’re sure both have been a pretty satisfying experience, Bethenny!

CGL has a warning to all those pesky things that can spoil the perfect vegetable garden: Jeri Ryan is up for the fight!

“The first year I did my garden, it was perfect. The second, something came and demolished everything, so I had to get tough,” The “Star Trek” alum spills to CGL about her organic yearly harvest.

“Since I don’t spray pesticides or put tons of chemical fertilizer everywhere, Sluggo Snail and Slug bait is great,” Jeri says of the all-natural product.

She also protects “my lettuce, carrots and beets with covers,” Jeri declares. “It isn’t pretty, but it works. My fava beans and English peas are amazing.”

That’s great news for Gisele Émé, Jeri’s two-year-old daughter with famous French chef Christophe Émé, who’s inherited mom’s green thumb.

“If my husband asks for parsley, Gisele goes out in the garden, knows what plant it is and can pick it. She knows the difference between rosemary and thyme.”

Delish. We’re booking a reservation at Jeri and Christophe’s family restaurant, Ortolan is Los Angeles, Calif., this afternoon!
