(Follow us on TWITTER: CelebGoodLife!)

CGL knows how important it is to be a great dinner party guest. We always bring a bottle of bubbly. And Steve Carell knows it too.

On the NYC red carpet premiere of his new film, “Dinner for Schmucks,” we asked Steve his tips on being a great guest, which he answered politely (just one character trait that’s appreciated by any dinner host).

Steve then revealed who he’d invite to a dinner party. Check it all out here.

We also spoke to “Schmucks” star Larry Wilmore who told us the key to being a dinner party guest that will definitely keep you off the next party list. After all, it’s important to know what not to do as well!

Dinner For Schmucks” opens nationwide Friday, July 30.

CGL Good Cause QUEEN NOOR – End Nuclear Threat

Queen Noor of Jordan is passionate about world peace.

At the New York City premiere screening of “Countdown to Zero,” she spoke of her personal experience with nuclear destruction.

“I am a child of the cold war and grew up during the cold war, and the images of Nagasaki and Hiroshima will forever be imprinted on my mind and my memory,” she shared with CGL.

“I’m also a mother, and I am deeply concerned about the world that our children will enjoy.”

That’s why the queen consulted on the new film that calls for the end of nuclear weapon production in the world.

“It’s an educational film that tells the history, and it also lays out where we are today and why we need to act,” she said. “Everyone can have a voice. Everyone in every nuclear state has a responsibility to act and support their leaders to move toward zero nuclear weapons.”

She’s encouraging all to sign the petition at globalzero.org, an organization dedicated to the phased, verified elimination of all nuclear weapons worldwide.

“With the communications technology available to us today, we have an unparalleled opportunity for people to come together from all walks of life, exert pressure and support our leaders,” Queen Noor explained.

“Sometimes it will take a great deal of courage for leaders in nuclear states to take the hard decisions which are actually the right decisions, but they need to be supported by their people who have traditionally believed that weapons were a source of strength and a source of status.”

Queen Noor also believes that social media is a great way to get the message across country and continent lines.

“We will be using it to bring people together to help people realize what they can actually do.”

Countdown to Zero” opens nationwide on Friday, July 30.

HOT PIC! Kourtney and Scott Together and Hapy!

CGL spent the weekend in the Hamptons, N.Y., getting up close and personal with Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick.

The new parents put in an appearance Saturday at the Opening Day of the 2010 Mercedes-Benz Polo Challenge at Blue Star Jets Field in Bridgehampton, N.Y.

While there’s been lots of talk of the couple being on the outs for a myriad of reasons (or on the verge of a wedding, depending our which report you’re inclined to believe), the two were the picture of happiness Saturday. Scott was on his best behavior, posing on the carpet in a cream white blazer with Kourtney at his side in the blazing 94-degree sun.

The two then retreated to the VIP SWAGG tent for some much needed shade. While the lollipop shrimp, Pop Chips and Patron flowed freely, Kourtney, who has already regained her figure seven months after son Mason’s birth, passed on the treats, choosing instead to take out some time for her fans and posed with them for several pictures. (We can’t say the same for CGL!)

“They were really relaxed and talking with people inside the tent. They were very approachable,” an insider shared with us.

Kourtney and Scott then braved the hot sun again to take in a few moments of the action on the green before jumping back into their car — sans handlers –- as Scott personally drove his lady off the lot. We’re pretty sure he kept her cool too with the air conditioner at full blast. Looks like he’s learning some responsibility after all!

Other celebs in attendance included Starr Jones, who kept a low profile during the activities, and the cast of The Real Housewives of New York City.

KELLY RUTHERFORD: Putting Dating On Hold!

Kelly Rutherford isn’t ready to jump back into the dating pool just yet.

“When you have small children, they’re your priority, and they should be your priority, at least for me,” the “Gossip Girl” star and single mom of two shared exclusively with CGL when we sat down for a chat at Hayneedle.com’s Home Design exhibit in Midtown Manhattan this week.

“They’re little and I need to be with them.”

Right now, her children, Hermés, four, and Helena, one, are giving her plenty to smile about.

“My son is really into the superheroes and now he’s discovered Scooby Doo.”

Which kind of explains why Hermes dressed up like Spiderman that morning. After all, he takes the job of protecting little sis very seriously.

“He’s wonderful older brother. Sometimes he doesn’t get it and asks, ‘Why did she just hit me in the face,’ and I say that’s because she’s trying to get your attention and she can’t say hey Hermes,” Kelly shared. “They laugh a lot and they giggle and cuddle. It’s really cute.”

With moments like these, it’s easy to understand why Kelly feels she already has all the love she needs in her life.

“I don’t feel any rush or pressure,” she confessed about getting back into the dating scene. “I have more love in my life than I’ve ever had before with my children and I feel that I have a very full life right now.

“Unless it’s just a really amazing person, you don’t have time to think about it,” she continued. “I’m just trying to get some sleep.”

We’re sure Hayneedle can help you out with that!

KATHIE LEE GIFFORD: CGL Good Cause of the Week!

(Follow us on TWITTER: CelebGoodLife!)

It’s National Hammock Day, and we’re celebrating with Kathie Lee Gifford!

CGL hit Midtown Loft, a gorgeous NYC space and rooftop with breathtaking views of the city, to hang with the “Today” show host as she worked a few comfy hammocks (we know, we tried them!) for Hayneedle.com, the uber cool shopping site featuring more than 200 specialty stores with unique home furnishings. “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” star Eduardo Xol is their celebrity designer!

“Who doesn’t love a hammock, it’s like buying happiness,” said Kathie, who’s got them hanging in homes in Connecticut, Nantucket and the Florida Keys. “I’ve worn out that one several times,” she confessed.

But it’s not just about getting a good nap. Kathie’s also raising funds for a good cause.

“I’m tying it in with an organization that I’m very passionate about called ChildHelp, one of the largest and most effective groups battling child abuse in America,” she declared to us. “I think it’s our great national shame that we don’t care enough about our own children to do something about child abuse.”

Buy a hammock on the site this summer and 10 percent of the price will be donated to the organization, founded by Sara O’Meara and Yvonne Fedderson. (They played David and Ricky’s girlfriends on “The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet“!)

Kathie’s own personal design mantra is pretty simple. “Not one piece of furniture of the house that isn’t comfortable,” she declared to us, adding her style is “Ralph Lauren, on a budget.”

Kathie’s favorite piece in her house right now?

“When Cody was in high school, I used to tell him, would you please put those sticking sneakers away, because every shoe he owned seemed to be right in the entranceway of our home. Now that he’s home from college for the summer, I counted five pair sitting there and went I don’t want him to move his shoes!”

All together now, awwww!

What’s your favorite piece of furniture in your home? Share with us below!

JEFF LEWIS: Redoing Your Kitchen!

(Follow us on TWITTER: CelebGoodLife!)

CGL knows that the kitchen is the hearth of your home.

That’s why we made our way to New York City’s Rockefeller Plaza Monday night to take a peek inside House Beautiful magazine’s “Kitchen of the Year,” designed by real estate developer and TV reality star Jeff Lewis, who celebrated his night with a few famous Housewives.

“I love Southern California’s indoor, outdoor living, and I really wanted that here,” Jeff shared with CGL about the clean lines, earthy furnishings and sleek modern appliances he chose to complete his design, featured in a scale replica constructed in the middle of the plaza. Way cool!

“I wanted a lot of natural light and space to move around, so I don’t have to worry about bumping into furniture and cabinets,” he continued.

Of course, we asked him the most important question of the night, how to turn our own kitchen into an award-winning room, no matter what our budget. Check out his answer.

LEELEE SOBIESKI: Real Tall Girls Wear Heels!

Nothing is going to keep Leelee Sobieski from wearing her stilettos.

When CGL last ran into the actress, seen in last summer’s hit “Public Enemies” with Johnny Depp, she was working a 6-inch Louboutin. Did we happen to mention Leelee’s 5′ 10 ¼?

“I took Flamenco dancing when I was a little girl and I feel in love with heels,” she declared. “The stomping, in a way, made me feel strong.”

Leelee wasn’t always so confident about her statuesque stature. “I used to get insecure and think I would intimidate people in heels,” the new mother –- her daughter Louisanna Ray Kimmel was born last December — confesses. ” I now feel confident enough to work it.

Her fiancé, menswear designer Adam Kimmel, totally approves.

“He likes it when I wear heels,” Leelee shares. ” If a man is confident, it doesn’t matter if he’s just 5 ft. A lot of smaller men love tall women.”

BILL MURRAY: Ready for Ghostbusters 3!

Who you gonna call? How about Bill Murray. CGL has learned the “Get Low” star is considering starring in another installation of “Ghostbusters,” as long as there is one major change for his character.

“I’ll do it if you kill me off in the first reel,” Bill declares.

Don’t freak out! Bill admits he was just kidding about dying on screen when he first learned the studios were mulling the idea of resurrecting the “Ghostbusters” franchise. However, it could turn out to be one heck of a plot twist.

“That was my joke,” he says about getting bumped off. “And supposedly, someone was writing a script where I did get killed in the first episode and become a ghost. I thought that was kind of clever.”

There’s one good reason Bill would revisit the movie about three parapsychologists who start a company to capture ghosts that have taken over New York City. “I miss Ernie Hudson, Danny Aykroyd and Harold Ramis, and obviously I miss Rick Moranis, he was a really big part of it,” Bill says. “I should just do it, maybe it would be fun to do.”

And we’d be so there to watch!

What other ’80s movie needs a sequel? Let us know below!

“Get Low” opens nationwide July 30.

MEL GIBSON: Can He Make Things Right?

Mel Gibson may face jail after his alleged assault on Oksana Grigorieva.

But there’s much more he needs to do than just serve time, according to Dr. Gilda Carle, renown psychotherapist and founder of DrGilda.com.

“He’s absolutely not in touch,” she tells CGL exclusively in response to Mel’s hate-filled recorded rant to his former girlfriend and mother of the eight-month-old child at the center of the split couple’s custody battle.

Still, Mel should put in the work to try to understand why he loses control.

“He needs to do anger management and have major therapy to get at the root of his problems,” Dr. Carle advises. “And this is going to take a long time.”

Dr. Gilda also suggests that Mel’s other seven children seek therapy.

“They have to do some searching to see how much of this venom has been punctuating their lives,” she explains.

“It could be affecting them, even on an unconscious level.”

Do you think Mel can make things right? Let us know below.
